The Tenant Resource Center is a nonprofit, membership organization dedicated to promoting positive relations between rental housing consumers (tenants) and providers (landlords) throughout Wisconsin. By providing information and referrals, education about rental rights and responsibilities, and access to conflict resolution, they empower the community to obtain and maintain quality affordable housing.
WORT-FM is a non-commercial, listener-sponsored, member controlled community radio station broadcasting to South-Central Wisconsin. WORT volunteers and staff shall provide quality programming and services to a broad spectrum of the community.
Since 1972, Omega School has provided individualized basic skills instruction in a supportive and informal atmosphere, and by working cooperatively with other agencies and institutions, has helped thousands of adults prepare for, and obtain, a GED/HSED credential.
Common Wealth Development supports and preserves the vitality of neighborhoods in the Madison Metropolitan area. Our work serves as the foundational bedrock of healthy community and economic development, with projects aimed at improving the housing and business climate of our neighborhoods through a people-first approach centered on racial equity and community level health improvement.
NAMI Dane County provides peer-led education and support programs to help people affected by mental illness get the support and information they need to better understand mental illness and navigate the mental health system. They also provide community education and outreach to reduce stigma and help the general public better understand mental illness. They advocate at the local, state, and national levels for increased funding and better access to quality mental health services.
